10 Tips for Adding Urdu and Arabic Names to Your Family Tree

1. Use the native script

Type names directly in Arabic or Urdu script in the first name and last name fields. The tree displays them correctly.



2. Add the English transliteration

Add the Latin alphabet version in the biography field so family members who do not read Arabic can still find the person.



3. Switch to RTL mode

Go to the language selector and choose Arabic or Urdu. The entire tree flips to right-to-left layout, making it much easier to navigate for native speakers.
